Adulting Without the Overwhelm

A psychoeducational workshop hosted in conjunction with Okotoks Public Library focused on stress, burnout, and life transitions in adulthood. These sessions will explore common challenges such as work-related stress, uncertainty about the future, and social comparison, and introduce practical, evidence-based strategies to support coping, resilience, and overall well-being.

Hosted by Melissa Legge, MSW, Registered Social Worker. 

In this workshop, you will learn: 

  • How stress and uncertainty can affect your mental health
  • The hidden impact of social comparison and how to shift toward self-compassion
  • Practical tools to manage stress in everyday life
  • Strategies to build resilience and cope more effectively with the demands of adulthood
  • Actionable steps you can use to feel more balanced, confident, and in control

This workshop is for individuals who are struggling with: 

  • Feeling overwhelmed by daily stress or responsibilities
  • Uncertainty about the future
  • Difficulty balancing various aspects of adulthood
  • Constantly comparing themselves to others or feeling "behind" in life
  • Feeling stuck, unmotivated, or emotionally exhausted
  • Wanting practical tools to improve resilience and overall well-being
