How we can help:
Eye Movement Desensitizing and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. These eye movements dampen the power of emotionally charged memories of past traumatic events.
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on the emotional aspect of human functioning as a valuable source of information instead of painful or difficult states to be avoided or managed. EFT addresses the regulation and impact of emotions.
Deep Brain Reorienting
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is trauma-oriented psychotherapy that has been developed mainly for the treatment of attachment shock, but it can also be applied to the processing of other unresolved traumatic experiences. DBR utilizes neuroscience to activate the orienting response in midbrain structures to support the efficient processing of unresolved traumatic events.
Natural Processing
Natural processing is a specific method based on an integration of trauma-informed somatic psychotherapy with bilateral stimulation and present-oriented processing.
Natural processing is based in a deep understanding of our “drive for completion,” on every level. Inherent dilemmas arise in many forms, such as competition between “drives for completion” and “drives for survival”. Natural processing engages with the dynamics that are evident, moment-by-moment, with a strong somatic focus to bring the details to life. These vital dynamics are then more accessible to processing. The use of bilateral stimulation further enhances the client’s ability to grow towards resolution.
Natural Processing attends to presence, resiliency, and the ways old forms of processing may impede present functioning. We can set the conditions for growth, and then closely nurture and “trust the process”.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Is a type of psychotherapy that helps patients understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors. CBT is commonly used to treat a wide range of disorders, including phobias, addictions, depression, trauma, and anxiety.
Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
DBT focuses on enhancing motivation and helping people apply the skills to specific challenges and events in their lives. The term “dialectical” comes from the idea that bringing together two opposites in therapy — acceptance and change — brings better results than either one alone.
Eclectic patient-oriented psychotherapy
In conjunction with the above, we offer constellation-informed therapy, natural processing, mindfulness-based practices, and internal family systems therapy tailored to your individual needs and presenting concerns.
QEEG Assessment
QEEG mapping assesses the brain’s waveform patterns and aids clinicians in understanding how neural circuitry contributes to what clients seek consultation for.
Neurostimulation/Neurotherapy
Neurostimulation involves stimulation using electromagnetic fields, direct current, or alternating current that is applied to the brain indirectly. Neurostimulation increases the blood flow to the brain which allows for a 90-minute period of neuroplasticity directly after treatment. This allows the brain to create new connections and pathways and change how its circuits are wired. We use both pulsed electromagnetic field stimulation and direct or alternating current.
Adding neurostimulation protocols to relational therapy can change the neural wiring a client is often grappling with, allowing for arousal regulation, symptom reduction and fostering of neuroplastic change in the brain itself. Real and lasting change is possible, and often occurs faster, when neurostimulation techniques and protocols are added to the relational container.

A psychologist may provide emotional support, help with stress management tools, identify behaviours to improve mental health, enhance relationships, and develop more effective coping strategies. Psychologists may provide assessments to better understand areas of strength and struggle that can inform interventions. Finally, a psychologist can provide interventions to assist in resolving past trauma that may be impacting daily functioning.
What does a somatic therapist do?
Somatic therapists focus on the mind-body connection and employ the body and somatic awareness in addressing unhelpful responses, and dysfunctional or problematic coping mechanisms. Somatic therapy is an effective approach to address trauma and promote holistic well-being as the earliest awareness of trauma originates in the body.
How much does a somatic therapy session cost?
Many psychologist employ a somatic approach and would be included in the session costs. Others who use somatic approaches may include massage therapists, craniosacral therapists and physiotherapists so the costs can vary depending on the skills and credentials of the provider.
How long does it take for somatic therapy to work?
The effectiveness of somatic therapy varies from person to person. Some may experience benefits after a single session, while others may require more time.
