Neurotherapy

We offer individualized treatment plans that are based on your unique qEEG and can include Neurostimulation,
Neurotherapy or a combination of both.

Neurostimulation involves stimulation using electromagnetic fields, direct current, or alternating current that is applied to the brain indirectly. Neurostimulation increases the blood flow to the brain which allows for a 90 minute period of neuroplasticity directly after treatment. This allows for the brain to create new connections and pathways and change how its circuits are wired. We use both pulsed electromagnetic field stimulation and direct or alternating current.

The NeuroField X3000 Plus is a pulsed electromagnetic field (pEMF) stimulation device that is designed to reduce stress and relax the human body. The X3000 Plus has been registered with the FDA as a 510K exempt medical device. The X3000 Plus has undergone electrical safety testing with Underwriter Laboratories (UL) and has met the 60601 safety standard as a medical device. The purpose of pEMF is to train the brain by showing it how we want it to act through administering a current. When exposure to this current, the brain then mimics this stimulation. Studies show that pEMF is effective in reducing the symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, TBI, inflammation and Parkinson’s disease.

The NeuroField tDCS/tACS/tRNS is a direct current/alternating current device that is designed to reduce stress and relax the human body. This unit meets the 60601 electrical safety testing requirements and has been approved by the FDA. The purpose of tDCS is not to train the brain, but rather to simultaneously up-regulate and down-regulate different specific areas of the brain. tACS is used to train the brain by showing it how we want it to act through administering a current. When exposure to this current, the brain then mimics this stimulation. tRNS uses white noise to administer photons and electrons directly to the brain in order to promote healing. Studies show that the direct current/alternating current and random noise is effective in reducing the symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, TBI, Parkinson’s disease, tinnitus and pain.

Neurofeedback works directly with brain waves to support more adaptive functioning. Neurofeedback uses operant conditioning (the use of positive and negative rewards) to train your brain in real time, typically through visual or audio feedback. Using neurofeedback we can set a goal for a brain to reach and a reward is given (movie gets brighter/music gets louder/ light turns on) if the brain achieves that goal.

The brain loves to hear music and see bright movies, so what this means is while you focus on achieving the reward, the brain will work to meet the goal.
