Quantitative Electroencephalography (qEEG)

Quantitative EEG (qEEG) is also called “Brain Mapping”.
We use state of the art technology made by NeuroField to measure electrical patterns at the surface of the scalp which gives us information on cortical activity in your brain.

A qEEG provides us with a unique map of your brain and takes about 30 minutes to complete. The purpose of conducting a QEEG is to help explain behaviour and to provide treatment recommendations for a wide variety of psychological problems. Through years of medical and psychological research a database has been collected that we use to compare your brain scan results to others in the general population that are of similar age and gender. We use this comparison to determine if there is specific over or underactivity present in the brain. Many different diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD etc. present in specific ways, which makes a qEEG is a great tool to use when trying to identify exactly what could be going on.

We use the Q21 that is manufactured by Neurofield to perform our qEEG assessments. The Q21 Amplifier is state of the art in pristine EEG signal processing. The Q21 is a 19+1 channel Electroencephalogram with a low noise floor of 0.25 μV peak to peak from 0.1 to 10.0Hz and is the most accurate whole brain imaging system.

The results from a qEEG are used to create a customized treatment plan that can include Neurostimulation and/or Neurofeedback.
